Heat index temperatures this weekend will be between 100°F to 105°F Saturday and Sunday Sunday afternoons. Then we cool down with an increased risk for flash flooding due to tropical moisture moving into a stationary front near the area.
The chances of locally heavy rainfall are gradually increasing early next week as a frontal boundary sets up over the region. On average, 4-6" of rainfall is possible along and north of the I10/12 corridor with locations along the southeast LA Coast seeing a bit less.
