I am interesting in using the new https support (v0.8.0-alpha.1), but it relies on rustls, which now relies on aws-lc-rs by default and that crate uses system bindings, which is a build blocker in my test environment. It would be cool if the TLS support included different feature gates to select the TLS implementation. Using ring (likely via rustls) or rust-native-tls as alternatives would probably for most.
